Friday night at the Ed
If a strange man in a mauve ruffle shirt and old tuxedo sidled up to you and offered you a night of adventure, what would you say? One lucky Village punter said, “HELL YEAH!” and was promptly whisked away on, yes, an adventure.
We don’t know where he is right now but we’re sure he’s safe. He’s out there somewhere in the hands of One Step at a Time Like This, the team that produced the award-winning ‘En Route’. One Step are road-testing their latest super-secret psycho-geographic trip only at the Village. We wait breathlessly for the return of our intrepid punter.
That’s what can happen to you at the Village. But, if you’re not quite up for a spontaneous road trip, you can still find a gazillion fun things to do. First stop is The Village Beauty Parlour and dress up boutique for the full Village makeover, then grab a drink, park yourself on the grass, take in the view and listen to the authentic Balkan sounds of the Shijivovitz.
You might be in the mood for some eclectic nonsense and sideshow cheek, such as you would only find at The Village Sideshow. Rose and Jules Oz Rock sing-along has just wrapped up with a thunderous version of You Shook Me All Night Long and How I Met Your Mother proved a huge hit with our younger punters.
The night is young and the Village is cranking.
