Ian Pidd
Co-Artistic Director
(Programming)
Ian programmes the performance and music in the festival and is the primary artist’s liaison person.
Ian was the Chair of the Fringe Festival for seven years and has had direct hands-on experience in the engine room of festivals ranging in size from the Natimuk Fringe to Moomba. Ian was Artistic Director of Back To Back Theatre from 1995-1998, directed shows for Snuff Puppets from 1998-2009 and is currently the Artistic Director of the National Regional Arts Conference, Junction 2010 & 2011.
Stuart Vaskess
Co-Artistic Director
(Management, Design and Logistics)
Stuart is in charge of all production, logistics and the building program.
Stuart is primarily a visual artist, with a keen interest in mechanics, people-powered machines and large-scale design. Stuart was a founding member of Snuff Puppets, and has extensive expertise in fabrication and installation of sets, props and machinery.
Stuart and Suzanne have designed the look of The Village.
Suzanne Kaulk
Co-Artistic Director
(Design and Programming)
Suzanne has responsibility for the visual arts, workshop and children’s program and looks after catering and food issues.
Suzanne has worked on a wide range of theatre and festival projects in Australia and overseas, as a designer, Community workshop leader and performer. She currently teaches design at Ballarat TAFE Theatre Arts and is a specialist designer for Snuff Puppets.
Ariane Ramsay
General Manager
Ariane has worked as an arts consultant and program manager for independent & government arts agencies with a particular focus on developing community engagement with professional arts practice. Ariane was a Regional Arts Development Officer in Victoria from 2000-2004, Professional in Residence with Latrobe City Council & Manager of Latrobe Regional Gallery Young Ambassadors in partnership with National Gallery of Victoria 2005-2007.
