As a special addition to the artistic smorgasbord that is The Village, we are pleased to announce our Long Table Lunches.
Sunday 2 November, 12.30pm and 1.30pm
Be seated with a group of other guests on one long table and enjoy a gastronomical feast prepared before your eyes by one of Castlemaine’s most celebrated food activists and chefs, Nikki Valentini (Growing Abundance and CAKE.)
The feel and the food will be reminiscent of a big Italian family lunch table in the countryside, or in a busy street of an old European Village. Great seasonal, homemade, handpicked, locally sourced, organically-grown food; friends and welcome strangers; wine and conversation; stories and discussion (some heated, some frivolous.)
All set amidst the colourful world of The Village and its inhabitants. Anything can and will happen!
Tickets for a lunch session are just $30, which includes a spot at our beautifully decorated long table, a main course plus some shared dishes, a drink from The Village bar and a dessert.
Not only that but this ticket also includes a hat/fascinator workshop at the Village with the talented Nick Barlow to create your own mad hat for the lunch before the lunch starts and free entrance to all Village shows on Sunday.
Children under 14 get the same thing for $15 (no alcoholic drink though!)
Second sitting: 1.30
