The Village Winter Festival – Castlemaine
Saturday June 21st 2014.
Midday to midnight.
Stories told and shared through theatre, puppetry, song, food and fire.
After 2013’s success The Village Winter Festival returned to Victory Park Castlemaine, celebrating the art of storytelling for young and old.
The Village in Winter Festival was developed around the concept of an old European village, a medieval carnival featuring storytelling, music and performances all this created around a central heart-warming fire sculpture. The Village Winter festival presented loads of local artists including Global Gardens Art running a Global Gardens Stage of world music and dance, The Living Library by local artist Lisa Donofrio, Georgia Snowball’s Promenade Locale and a local Talent show programmed and hosted by the local FReeZA kids.
There were also exciting winter specials: The famous Village Dog Show, So You Think You Can Interpretative Dance, great food made by local food lovers, mulled wine, chestnuts, fire sculptures, pedal powered installations and games, variety shows, creative workshops and much more.
Here’s the program!
