Fire Garden
Music Light. Sound. Story, all culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.
The Village Festival has been creating fire based performances with kinetic sculptures, fire bins, bonfires, and full scale fireworks displays since 2013.
Fire based performances have appeared annually at Village events including The Winter Festival and Benalla Village By The Lake. In addition to these productions, The Village tem of pyrotechnicians have created installations for The Whiskey, Wine and Fire event at the Caulfield Racecourse since 2018.
In 2021, the project was redeveloped for its most ambitious rendition to date. Wamba Wamba man, Uncle Ron Murray; a highly respected Cultural Educator, Musician, Story Teller and Artist will tell a Creation Story. Through the tradition of radio plays, Ron’s words will be broadcasted to the car radios of audience members parked around the performance site at night. Accompanying the story will be awe inspiring pyrotechnics, gigantic puppets and beguiling projections.
